This is super cool in a lore perspective too. In an attempt to defeat the vampires, a human creates something terrifying to rival their strength whilst sacrificing their humanity as a cost. Eventually, losing themselves to their own creation, fueled with the desire to infect everybody. But in the last battle, they realised that anything is better than fully turning to the vampire's side and accepts being human. AND WE ALL CHEERED
