This is why I think Brook knows about the Vinsmoke family. A shiver went down his spine when he heard the name because he knows the horror the Vinsmoke can inflict while he was the convoy leader. (Maybe he ran away from his former kingdom because of the Vinsmoke and decided to become a pirate).

i just watched sanji vs bon clay... Bon said why fight against a criminal organization and Sanji said I'm part of a criminal organization too. He said he's a pirate and a cook. But he could be referring to the VINSMOKE. HYPE.
