In the defense of the Super Cruiser as well as the Super Station, I think the idea of making a compatible Thomas toys is a good idea; it’s the first range to give the minis a consistent track system to run on and I unironically love Stefano’s design in toy form, it just screams “make me into a marketable toy for kids” if I’ve ever seen one, but I can see what you mean by the super station being so weird and bad (also funnily enough there is an actual basis for Stefano on the Thomas wiki, of course with some liberties taken). And to be honest, you can get way worst Thomas toys

they prob chose thomas for the escape set because hes the one who escaped, but why the scrapyard tho? its supposed to be the steelworks since the scrapyard was like the safe haven bruh

To be fair with the superstation, you can just ignore the elevation and have the station on the ground and treated like a normal Tidmouth Sheds… as long as you ignore the fact that cranky is now chilling there.

Personally, the wellsworth race set is pretty good, for a starter set, I mean, you get wellsworth!
