In my opinion, it depends on what you want. If you want a realistic theme, go for Hornby. If you Want tv series accurite models, Bachman

Hornby:hevier, faster, looks like real life e-2 class

I dislike plastic blister packs. Too bad that the best features of both models couldn't be combined. I prefer the Bachmann despite its flaws, but I dislike the fact the bachmann does not have a front coupler. I am researching Hornby which led me here

Could you do a hornby gordon vs bachmann gordon review?

100K in very short time, has to be a top performer, I wish my Hornby Thomas was he's lacking some vital gear!

@CalleyFan how do you stack that sort of packaging, pretty sure that sealed stuff is useless once you carve it up to extract the toy. That style of packaging came in more as a anti theft than convince

maybe you could point out in your next review where to see the ID details of a model, as I am not a rivet counter I am feeling lost looking around the model

I pretty much bet Sir Ralph is thinking, "What on earth are two strangers doing here, in a livery none of us have ever seen before?"

@GatoradeMan3000 and the traction tyres which are missing on my 2009 Hornby Thomas!
