“...we would get Ringo to sit in with the band… and every time Ringo sat in, it seemed like ‘this is it’. Eventually we realised, ‘We should get Ringo in the band full time.” - George
After performing in the same circles in Liverpool and Hamburg, Ringo sat in with The Beatles for the first time on 5 February 1962 for a lunchtime show at The Cavern followed by an evening set at Kingsway Club.

It must be really strange to be someone like Paul McCartney, and to look back at your life and see the enormous influence you have had on the world when you started out as a twenty something who just wanted to be a successful musician and do what you loved for a living.
