I like to think that Merry and Pippin were less bored of Treebeard's song, and more that they were just really, REALLY tired after days of being held prisoner by Uruk-hai and narrowly escaping with their lives--finally able to let their guards down and know that they are actually, finally safe.

The voice acting for Treebeard was absolutely on-point. Beautiful.

Treebeard is by far my favourite character out of the whole trilogy. When he talks, all you hear is beautiful poetry. So much history lurks in his eyes

@1:23 His voice is so melancholic. His poetry beautifully fits the music. The way he says "come back to me" along with the soundtrack almost makes my eyes well up with tears.

I love the extended version of TTT so much. Almost all of the added scenes enhance the characters and world of Middle Earth in a genuinely affecting way. This is a perfect example.

I love this. Especially when it’s set to the shots of the camera soaring over mountains and forests.

I would like to think that maybe some of the Entwives may have survived Sauron's burning of the grasslands during the Second Age and would eventually come back in the Fourth Age to uplift Mordor from the volcanic wasteland that it is into a flourishing place of grass and plants. After Sauron was forever defeated.

The music, the imagery and the longing in his words "come back to me" pulls and tuggs at ones heart string to the point of tears ... :´)

I could listen to treebeard tell me stories all day, dunno what these hobbitses problemses are
