@everhope They did, well the TV world anyway and at least my own small portion of it. There are somethings we never forget, lessons we learn that never fade, things we see or hear that help us to understand who we are. It really makes no difference whether the show wasmade from someone's imagination because a good portion of the time it held stories that in some way reflected what some of us go through, so it touched a lot of people and made them think. Maybe that was just me, eh details.
