How to ADHD Hello, Brains! Planning my next season of content (April-June)! What topics would you LOVE for me to cover/what are you struggling with most right now? And what is your favorite (type of) How to ADHD video? For context: We're trying to plan a season at a time rather than one video at a time so we can do more (How to ADHD podcast, anyone??), make better content, AND not burn out. Going to try to go with 3-4 formats you enjoy (parody, researched/scripted/animated, practical toolbox style, etc.) + prioritize topics you want to see covered :) Let me know!!! How to ADHD Hello, Brains! Sometimes we make plans for how things will go but it doesn't quite turn out the way we expect. So I wanted to know... - What are some cues that tell you your process isn't working and needs adjusting? - How do *you* analyze a process to see if it's still working for you? What do you look for? How to ADHD Hello Brains! What are your best productivity “hacks” that are ACTUALLY KIND to your brain and body? Asking for a video (let me know if you'd like to be anonymous!) For context: In my latest video I talked about how I often neglect myself in order to Be Productive. But there are some things I do to be productive that are actually GOOD for my brain and body -- like moving my body before/during brain-heavy tasks so I can think more clearly (and be less stressed while I work). I think we, as a community, could use more productivity "hacks" that are actually GOOD for us, that are KIND to our brain and body (vs. just help us do more without regard for our actual wellbeing). How to ADHD Hello, Brains! I'm curious and was wondering... what are some ways you've learned how to climb your wall of awful? For example... my Community Manager has a wall of awful around the dishwasher... but by organizing chores so that they only have to load & run the dishwasher (because a roommate handles the unloading), they are able to get over their wall of awful. Of course this is ONE example... I want to hear them all! So comment below with something you have a wall of awful around and what methods you use to climb it! Don't know what I'm talking about, no worries, watch this video!: https://youtu.be/hlObsAeFNVk (1 month ago)

"Our struggles being invisible to others doesn't mean they're imaginary." Thank you!

"No one should have to go through life blaming themselves for how their brain works." This hit me real deep.

"I'm still learning how to make friends" ... oh, I feel that deeply.

Whenever I was called "lazy" I felt I was being called worthless and a moocher. I cried when you said this was a symptom. And that it's not actually true. Thank you so much for this.

The whole “but you were a good student” or “it’s just depression” is my whole life. I’m still looking for a provider to help.

My doctor wrote in my medical file: 'She thinks she has ADHD, I don't think so, she is a really calm girl'

I cried halfway through because I’ve never heard of other women having the same troubles I do.

I straight up started crying at "nobody should have to go through life blaming themselves for how their brain works"

This is why I’m really glad that my psychiatrist is a woman with adhd, so I know that I’m actually getting the right meds, from somebody who’s been through similar things I have.

I hate how our ADHD becomes a problem when it's bothersome to other people. It's like ''so you're assuming i am okay with forgetting things that happened 3 seconds ago, that i am okay with clutter and mess i am making, that i am unable to force myself to do important tasks that i think about for entire week?''
DarkFoxKirin (4 years ago)
YES. I’ve always been called lazy, purposely forgetful, too sensitive, unmotivated, and that I ignore people because I easily zone out and daydream. Thank you for your kind words, I’m proud to be a brain in your tribe.
